For International Women's Day 2020, Perimeter Institute hosted its annual Inspiring Future Women in Science event, allowing nearly 200 high school students to attend talks and a “speed mentoring” session by women in diverse STEM careers.
In her talk, astrophysicist Katie Mack discusses dark matter, black holes, how she started thinking about astrophysics, her experience as a high school student working the night shift at the Super-Kamiokande neutrino detector in Japan, the hardest parts of her career path, and much more.
