We continue our #AltinityCloud setup in this third video by breaking down the Altinity.Cloud Explore feature to enter the #SqlQueries.
Making ClickHouse queries is very similar to other SQL-based database languages.
After you log in, select Explore option for the cluster you want to work with.
But before we move forward, let's quickly walk through Explore's sections.
QUERY — input new queries and see the responses
SCHEMA — see your databases and tables for your ClickHouse cluster
PROCESSES — processes that are currently running on your cluster
Now, we go to our queries. We will create two tables for this tutorial and include database engine commands that control how these tables get distributed across our cluster.
FYI: The queries used in this tutorial are present in our Altinity Documentation Quick Start Guide for Altinity.Cloud.
You can access Altinity.Cloud guides or queries here: https://hubs.la/H0FmVHj0
Once we add the data, we can see it in our sample row data for our tables, including our linked table under Schema.
TL;DR: This simple tutorial with simple results shows you how to use Altinity.Cloud to directly make queries against your cluster.
