If you’ve been on your entrepreneurial journey for any amount of time, you’ll certainly know that there are no shortage of things to add to your never ending to do list.
This is a crucial lesson for entrepreneurs so listen up.
The only way you’re going to get the deeper work done is when you learn to separate your tasks from your projects. Jumping from admin work to creating a course is no bueno. You spend half your day refocusing on what you were trying to work on. Then the deeper work NEVER gets done. So you need to separate.
What do I mean by this?
Step 1 is identifying your tasks…
Write a list of all the day to day things you do and should be doing to keep your business alive.
These are the recurring tasks, admin work, client work, creating social media content.
Step 2 is separating your projects...
This is where the deeper work gets done… creating your new course, launching your program and funnel.
Now that you know the difference, you set certain themes for days/times for TASKS or PROJECTS.
What days do you work on tasks and when do you work on projects?
The Rules...
Project work has to be uninterrupted.
You cannot mix them together.
Your energy and focus needs to be separate.
You will be infinitely more productive if you keep these separate.
