How to use TODAY function in excel

This is a worksheet function. TODAY function returns the current system date in the cell. The current date will be updated in the worksheet when the workbook is opened, changed or calculation is performed in the workbook. Basically TODAY function returns serial date value, we can format the value returned by TODAY using any standard date format. If we want current time in addition to date we can use NOW function.
