I'm going to show you how to use a free plugin for After Effects to do this.
You need to go to the motion graphics store, also known as ae scripts.
If you search for repeater you'll get here. And you install it following the instructions.
Then after creating a Text Layer you'll find the effect in the Plugin everything section of your menu. Apply it. It's pretty similar to the Repe Tile effect in After Effects.
I love playing with the Row / Column Offset.
My favourite control is the Time Offset.
Let's make a Source Text based animation.
And then let's see how it affects our repetitions.
With 1 frame. And a much larger number of clones.
