Ground Cover and Water Infiltration
NRCS soil scientist Mike Lindsey and NRCS agronomist Chris Coreil use miniature soil samples and a rainfall similator to demonstrate the importance of proper ground cover in maintaining soils for crops, preventing runoff into water systems, and for maximizing proper water infiltration. The video is being used as part of an Advanced Master Gardener training course conducted by the LSU AgCenter.
