The rotate command on the CAD tab allows users to rotate objects by either selecting the command first or choosing the objects to rotate. Upon selecting the command, a dialog box appears where users can select items, such as text, to rotate. Users must choose a rotation point, which serves as the pivot for the rotation. The angle of rotation can be adjusted, and dragging can be enabled to visualize the rotation. Right-clicking provides options like a three-point snap or a deflection angle snap. The three-point snap involves selecting a start point, a pivot point, and an endpoint to set the rotation angle, aligning the object with a specified stop bar. Alternatively, the deflection angle snap requires inputting a first and second bearing, which determines the rotation angle. Once the angle is set, users can apply the changes to rotate the object accordingly.
