Being able to play a game online and win real money is a dream that literally every kid has. For a very select few who become professional players, it becomes a reality.
The thing is that this disparity between the absolute best players and everyone else is based around a legacy technical setup that needs to be democratized and replaced by something more fair. If we want esports to be big (and we do!) that means MORE players winning MORE prizes.
