Have you ever wondered why everyone on social media can cut beautiful dovetails straight from the saw while you struggle with gappy joinery? The secret is to FAKE it! Follow along, in this totally not highly edited video, as I build a shop towel dispenser. Everything goes absolutely perfectly because I, like all YouTubers, am a #masterwoodworker.

Sarcasm and clickbait aside, woodworking, at every skill level, is just finding ways to hide mistakes. Have fun with your own projects and try not to worry about how things are suppose to go. Take everything you see online with a grain of salt because you're likely only being shown the good parts or it's photoshop. It's probably photoshop.

Video Summary: In this video I make a DIY shop towel dispenser with hand cut dovetails, half-blind dovetails, and mortise and tenon joinery. This hand-made storage box is constructed using a mix of power tools and hand tools (also known as hybrid woodworking). It is finished with milk paint, shellac, and water based polyurethane. Finally, it is polished with wax. There, that should be enough key words to make the algorithm happy.
