Please watch as I go over some best practices for preparing for a game update in The Sims 4 (computer version). 😊
Please comment, like and subscribe. I do Let's Plays focusing on challenges and new content; Tutorials and the occasional Speed Builds. I've been playing since Sims first launched in 2000 and love sharing tips I've learned about the game in my videos. 😊
Here is an overview and some links to specific points in the video:
Step 1: Move your mods to your desktop (if you use mods and/or custom content): 1:13
Step 2: Make a backup of your saves: 2:35
Step 3: Delete your localthumbcache.package file: 4:05
Step 4: Repair your game after you update it: 4:45
How to avoid the update until you want to do it: 5:32
Note that these practices also apply for when you add new DLC to your game, be it expansion, game or stuff packs. 😊
Please let me know if you have any suggestions for tutorials that I can do.
