I Turned This Cheap Samsung Chromebook into a Linux Laptop!
In this video, I completely remove ChromeOS from the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go (Model 340XDA-KA2) and install Xubuntu Linux. I’ll show you the tricky "Hardware Write Protection" fix that requires bridging pads on the motherboard, and test if this budget Celeron N4500 laptop can actually play games like Minecraft and Half-Life 2.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: As with most "Jasper Lake" Chromebooks running Linux, the internal audio drivers (SoundWire) do not work out of the box. You will need Bluetooth headphones or a USB-C audio adapter.
