Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to defeat Ramon Salazar without eggs (Boss Tutorial)
Disclaimer: This footage is recorded on standard difficulty however what I mentioned in the video should apply to the higher difficulties as well. This serves a guide to understand the boss so you can better overcome him. This not a minimalist tutorial. This is to help beginners struggling with the boss fight. I don't use OP stuff like RPG etc. I am aware of the egg strat. You can use whatever method/weapon you want. I just use a pistol & knife to best showcase the fight.
Boss Information: Ramon Salazar this time has the ability to fly around and spray acid at you. This acid attack does a ton of damage and staggers you heavily. Getting hit is a death sentence. He has different acid spray attack pattern. The attack is extremely fast and hard to avoid. His weakpoint when his mouth open up exposing his body. Dive bomb grab attack is an instant kill where he devours Leon. He has acid spray, acid canon (charge up attack) acid shower(death from above). He do acid canon at the end of the acid spray/rain when he enters phrase 2 (after he roars). He also do the dive bomb and he can acid canon at the end of it. He lay down acid puddle/landmine around the arena.

Can do canon shot at the end of any attack in 2nd Phrase (After Big roar)
Strategy: The goal is to take less damage while bringing Salazar down. He has different acid spray attack pattern. The attack is extremely fast and hard to avoid. Beginning of the fight open fire on him. If you have a powerful gun you will most likely bring him down causing him to be vulnerable for good amount time. Pump him full of lead whenever he gets downed. Constantly be behind cover. Go to the pillar for cover. Check for Landmine acid puddle he leaves around the arena mainly the pillar you will be going around in the fight. I recommend having headphones to listen out for his positioning. You can also see where he is going when the tendril he uses to drag himself around. While keeping behind cover shoot the boss when his body is exposed. Always wait for him to finish his acid spray then shoot him. When he does a roar, he enters his 2nd phrase and gains additional moves. He can do the canon shot at the end of his attacks. Listen and watch out for that. Avoid the dive bomb attack as it is an instant kill grab attack. Again, when he finishes his attack then strike back. He can also do rain down acid attack. Hide under the archway to stay safe. Use this time to reload and listen out for his positioning. This is a safe strategy against him.

Always be behind/under cover
-Always wait for him to finish his attack then strike
When his body is expose while he is flying around shoot him
Constantly check for landmine acid puddle
Watch & listen for his position and react to what he is doing
Don't feel bad if you get hit by a quick acid spray
Avoid his dive bomb grab at all cost
Loadout recommendations:
You can use whatever weapon your want. Highly recommend body armor to be at full durability to tank damage. His acid absolutely demolishes your health. Sniper Rifles are great for long range. Shotgun great for when he is downed and he dive bomb at 2nd phrase. Grenades are good for when he is downed too.
