Battle Cats - The Malevolent Gross - Devilish Strides (Insane)
Note: To access this stage, you need to beat Mount Aku in The Aku Realms (the first round, not Jagando). You do not need to actually own Brainwashed Gross to play the stage. The stage has the exact same schedule as Crazed Gross, appearing on the 12th of each month.
Introducing Malevolent Macho Legs Cat:
Malevolent Macho Legs is an Aku version of Manic Macho Legs that trades Lv. 4 Wave for Lv. 4 Surge. Malevolent Macho Legs has 600,000 HP 100 range, and deals 13,200 damage per hit, otherwise having the same attack frequency and other stats as Manic Macho Legs. Additionally, Malevolent Legs has the Countersurge ability.
Malevolent Legs has twice the HP as Manic Legs and no effect currently exists to delete Surge attacks, so the traditional methods to beat MML are useless here. Instead, you need to use Cactus to tank Malevolent Legs and use Surge Immune attackers such as LKD and Gridiron to take them out. The surge spam here is all Lv. 4 Surges, so despite having only half of Cone’s HP, Cactus has much better survivability and DPS here. Don’t even bother to bring any attackers who are not Surge Immune. They will get obliterated by a wall of Surges before they even get a chance to attack. In addition to the usual Legs spam, Sir Rels, Aku Gories, and an Othom will appear to support the Legs spam. Doron and Idi can efficiently take out the Othom here… if you’re not bad at the game and send Doron too early like I did. If you don’t have any UL Legends, Cyberpunk can function as CC here to give you some breathing room to take down the Othom. Once you take down the Othom there isn’t much stopping you from beating the stage.
Oh and just to reiterate, Cactus and Surge Immune attackers are REQUIREMENTS for beating this stage, not optional.

Beating this stage unlocks the True Form of Brainwashed Gross. Unlike the other basic cat variants, the Brainwashed series are only available through seasonal gacha. Brainwashed Gross is available on the Halloween and Easter seasonal banners, in addition to some selection banners during special events.
Brainwashed Macho Legs only receives one change in its True Form. Its Lv. 3 Surge is upgraded into a Lv. 4 Surge. However, Brainwashed Gross was already absurdly powerful with a Lv. 3 Surge, so giving that Surge an extra level further increases its effective DPS at level 50 to 8,748 DPS, a significantly higher DPS than any of its competition, even including small forms of Ubers such as Child of Destiny Phono (Phono’s first form can only hit a target twice). In addition to being possibly the most cost-efficient midranger in the game, its Surge ability is essential for scoring high ranks in the Catclaw Dojo ranked events. The Dojo base is notably not immune to Surge, allowing a single Surge attack to send in multiple waves of enemies at once while also keeping fast peons behind the Dojo base. Overall, a broken unit and still the best of the Brainwashed series.
