Acid pro 7 8 10 tutorial how to setup midi keyboard in acid pro how to set up midi control, and controllers for recording vst instruments, plugins. note in this video i am using acid pro 7 and there have been updates for midi support in acid pro 8 and 10. The date when your keyboard came out might make a difference, but it hasn't with this setup using Novation lauchkey 49 and M audio Oxygen 61. My boxed retail version of Acid pro 7 came out in 2007 and my midi controllers (which came with free copy of Ableton live) came out much later and acid pro 7 still finds them. However, on the M audio, not all the features can be used in acid pro, only the keys work as it was really made for Ableton and comes with a free copy with the keyboard but moving the mouse is just as quick as moving a fader in my opinion and to be even more accurate just type the number inside the daw. For more compatible versions there were updates for midi control in Acid pro 8 released in 2016, and Acid pro 10 was released in 2020, so having up to date drivers is essential for making midi controllers work in acid pro version 7 which is why in this video, I will show all the things you need to do to set up your midi controls for acid pro so you can play multiple instruments with different controllers and record them all at the same time on a single session if that is something you need to do.
