Caecilia Potter, Eric Curtis and Marko Trifunovic took the time to speak with LEAP Australia about how Venso Labs has successfully applied Ansys and ThingWorx software to develop the Venso Flow fluidisation process, which involves injecting liquid or solid particles into a gas stream to achieve significant improvements in heat & mass transfer and catalytic reactions, whilst using less energy than competing technologies.

Founder and CEO of Venso Labs, Caecilia Potter explains how broad benefits of simulation apply to both their internal team, helping fast-track their own technical insights into the Venso Flow process (originally developed over a lifetime by her father, Emeritus Prof. Owen Potter), and to communicate unique benefits of the process to potential customers, partners and investors. “Once we were able to validate and reproduce the physical results in a virtual model, that meant we could do thousands of virtual tests and get extraordinary insights from that - much more cost effectively and rapidly than any physical prototyping… (which was) a game changer for Venso!”.

Process control is also critical and during the video, Marko shows how their process control software, powered by ThingWorx, allows them to monitor and control both the seed and the coating's temperature – providing critical data which impacts on crop yields, including the seed’s performance, vigour and germination.
