How to Paint EYES: Side View, Three-Quarter View and One-Quarter View 👀 (REAL-TIME PAINT-ALONG!) 👁️
A lot of common art mistakes happen around painting the face – especially while painting eyes. It is hard enough to paint portraits looking straight ahead, but if you add a head tilt, the challenge increases about ten-fold!
Today, I share with you how to paint realistic eyes from a side view, a ¾ view and a ¼ view, all in real-time. So while you watch this, I want you to have your digital painting software open on the side so you can draw and paint along. I use Photoshop here, but you can use any software that allows layers and blending modes (so programs such as Krita, Corel Painter, Clip Studio Paint and Procreate).
