In this Arduino project, we build a Smart Trash Can Lid that opens automatically when your hand is detected and closes a few seconds after the hand is removed — using an Ultrasonic Sensor and Servo Motor inside Tinkercad.
When an object (like your hand) comes close to the sensor, the servo motor opens the lid. When the object is removed, the lid automatically closes after a short delay.
This project is a great way to learn about ultrasonic distance measurement, servo motor control, and smart automation with Arduino!
🧰 Components Used:
Arduino UNO
Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04
Servo Motor (SG90 or similar)
Breadboard and jumper wires
💡 Skills You Will Learn:
Using Ultrasonic Sensor with Arduino
Controlling Servo Motor with Arduino
Building Smart Automation Systems
Simulating projects in Tinkercad
