This guide demonstrates how to connect an iPad as a secondary monitor to a Mac using Air Display.
You will need to have purchased the Air Display client app for your iPad through the iTunes App Store and have downloaded and installed the Air Display Connect software on to your Mac from avatron.com/d.
Once the devices have the proper software, follow these steps to get connected:
Turn Air Display on in the menubar (it may already be enabled)
Open the Air Display app on the iPad
Select the iPad's name from the device list in the menubar. The Air Display app on the iPad should change and show a blank desktop.
Connect to Other:
If the iPad's name does not appear in the list of devices, you can connect using the IP address and the 'Other' option in the device list. The IP address can be found on the second tab of the iPad app.
