𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: The Golden State Warriors wanted to find a way to create and deliver amazing experiences to its entire global fan base — whether they’re watching live at its state-of-the-art arena Chase Center or tuning in from somewhere else in the world.
𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Golden State Warriors consolidated all of its data into one place with BigQuery, creating a solid foundation for leveraging AI technologies to enhance experiences — both on and off the court. With a unified data foundation, the franchise then used Vertex AI to build a content recommendation engine to bring relevant, personalized content to fans, including real-time game highlights, scores and stats, and alerts about the latest ticket sales or other entertainment events. They deliver this content through their mobile app, powered by Firebase, to make it easier for fans to connect with basketball games, players, and products. Plus, employees are now exploring Gemini for Workspace to see how gen AI can supercharge their productivity and free up even more time to focus on fan experience.
𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: The Golden State Warriors can build and deliver AI-powered experiences to help fans keep up with all the action happening at Chase Center that matters to them — no matter where they are.

→ “We're now spending a lot of time and, frankly, investments in AI to use this technology to help us become a better business and ultimately a better basketball team. Using tools like BigQuery, we’ve been able to really compile all of our data into a single place. We ultimately landed on building a content recommendation engine using Vertex AI to then bring the most relevant and personalized content to our end users and fans.”
→ ”We've made a lot of investments in our digital products and platforms, namely the Warriors plus Chase Center mobile app. Having scores, stats, real-time highlights, vertical content, stories from every single game, you don't have to be inside a Chase center to enjoy that type of content. We can get our brand, our players, our product in front of as many eyeballs as possible around the world. The app is entirely powered by Google Cloud and it really starts with Firebase … the backbone of our mobile infrastructure.”
→ “We’re now piloting Gemini for Workspace, and now we feel like we’re really supercharging our employees and enabling them to be more productive and really focus on that fan experience.”
→ “Google Cloud has played a pivotal role in helping us use technology to really enable our business to take us to what we've become today, but more importantly, what we envision we will become in the future.”
