Autodesk_ Fractal Project: Minimizing total building energy use through generative facade design
This was a joint project between Fractal team, Insight 360 and Formit team at Autodesk. Fractal is a web based decision support system for architectural and engineering design exploration under development by the Generative Design research team at Autodesk. This project included exploring and developing façade design typologies for mid-rise buildings for energy simulation and optimization in California. This project was successfully implemented and resulted in development of library of design patterns as well as a framework for facade optimization.
