Expander Removal
This video shows one of our patients having their expander removed. Expansion usually takes about 6 months to complete. After the expander is removed the patient receives a retainer to hold the room that was created by the expander. We typically I've our patients a cemented lingual arch. This cemented retainer is later followed up by a removal retainer that is worn until the patient is ready for their second phase of treatment.
