Living in the past
Each of us from time to time mentally returns to the past. Sometimes these are pleasant memories that warm the soul, and sometimes they are painful moments that are difficult to shake off.
From a certain age, this urge to look back becomes habitual for many. The past is like a lens through which the world is perceived. A person begins to compare everything with the experiences of childhood, adolescence, young adulthood...
What is the reason, and what can this lead to?
Point of View.
From what perspective do I view myself, my life? There is a position in which I privatize my attention. I withdraw from the realm of the unconscious and become an Observer. By cultivating reflection, I gain greater awareness, which can lead to self-awareness. From this place of self-perception, life only begins. Everyone's path is different, but the only way to awaken is to direct our attention inward. We identify ourselves as an object of observation, research, and... embark on a fascinating journey of self-discovery.
