Revit Tips (Day 46) - Cut Void using Model Text
(Quarantine Day 46)
Today I learned something new.
Use Model Text to cut void.
Here are the steps:
1. Create the in-place model panel.
2. set work plane on the face of the panel.
3. Create the model text, set the thickness to a negative number, which is greater than the panel thickness.
4. Edit the model, then use the Join Geometry (not Cut) to join the model text and the panel.
5. If the panel is not cut, use the Switch Join Order.
6. Hide the text and you will see the void.
