In this video, we will read page by page from the Russian edition of Harry Potter, focusing on the challenging vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures that advanced learners of Russian often encounter. As we read, I’ll provide detailed explanations of difficult words, phrases, and grammatical nuances to help you better understand the language.
Target viewers. This lesson is intended for learners with at least intermediate proficiency in Russian. But any enthusiasts are welcome, no matter what your level is. Native speakers are welcome to provide their alternatives to my explanations/suggestions. My videos are not scripted so sometimes I simply blank on the words, or examples.
Suggested way of working with this video: Treat it as an actual lesson. Your homework is to read the assigned page ahead of time (if you have a book - if not, just wait for the new video to come out and read from the screen). When you read it, mark any questions you had about vocabulary, grammar, or even pronunciation. When you're watching the video, see how many of these questions are answered.
