How to turn off automatic updates windows 10?
In this video we will discuss 3 ways to Prevent Windows updates from downloading:
❶ Press the Windows key + R, type "services.msc" and press Enter.
Scroll down and find the "Windows Update" service.
Right-click on the "Windows Update" service and select "Properties."
Under the "General" tab, change the "Startup type" to "Disabled."
Click on the "Stop" button to stop the service if it is currently running.
Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
❷ Use the Group Policy Editor: Press the Windows key + R, type "gpedit.msc" and press Enter. Go to Computer Configuration , Administrative Templates , Windows Components , Windows Update. Set the "Configure Automatic Updates" option to "Disabled."
❸ Use the Registry Editor: Press the Windows key + R, type "regedit" and press Enter. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows. Create a new key called "WindowsUpdate" and then create a new DWORD value called "AutoUpdate" and set it to "0."
