We've all probably seen so-called mobile elevating work platforms (MOWPs) in places where work is performed at heights. These exceptionally helpful and safety-optimized mobile devices were specifically designed to move workers, even to great heights. Their functions are much broader, as they can quickly and efficiently deliver the materials necessary for the job to a specific height. Mobile elevating work platforms, basket lifts, or aerial work platforms typically consist of a work platform with controls, a boom, and a chassis. It would be difficult to imagine tree removal, electrical work on transmission lines, roof construction, or the simple hanging of large signs without them. The absence of mobile elevating work platforms would significantly complicate work at heights.
Types of Elevating Work Platforms and Lifts
These types of mobile equipment come in a variety of designs, depending on both their specific drive and their intended use. Therefore, mobile elevating work platforms are used by various companies that rent them out or perform work at heights themselves. They are operated by trained operators. This means they have earned specific certifications through the courses we organize. Operating aerial work platforms may not be a difficult task, but the responsibility placed on the operator requires appropriate predispositions, knowledge, and skills, and above all, specific certifications. The courses we organize for aerial work platforms and aerial work platforms enable you to obtain the necessary qualifications. The aim of the aerial work platform (aerial work platform) course is to acquire knowledge and skills in operating aerial work platforms, as well as to provide theoretical and practical preparation for participants to obtain the required qualifications, which are awarded by a commission competent for a given region and appointed by the Director of the local branch of the Office of Technical Inspection.
What do we offer as part of the aerial work platform operator course?
The organisation of the aerial work platform and mobile elevating work platform course is based on professionally conducted classes:
Theoretical – conducted by a person with substantive knowledge in the operation of the equipment. Participants receive training materials in the form of a paper or electronic script.
Practical – conducted by instructors with appropriate qualifications. Classes are conducted using equipment that meets all technical inspection requirements, meaning it has up-to-date periodic inspections performed by the Office of Technical Inspection and occupational health and safety requirements.
The location of the practical classes should be clearly marked. Before the training begins, participants are familiarized with the specifics of each type of aerial work platform.

Practical Activities
After completing the training, participants take an internal theoretical and practical examination. The internal examination aims to test participants' knowledge and prepare for the external examination by highlighting potential errors and reviewing specific knowledge. At the conclusion of the Aerial Work Platform Operator Course, an external examination is conducted before a committee appointed by the local branch of the Office of Technical Inspection. If the course is held at the workplace, a device audit log must be prepared before the examination, containing a positive UDT decision and a maintenance technician's entry. Authorizations are issued for a fixed period.
Mobile elevating work platforms (including scissor lifts, telescopic lifts, and self-propelled elevating work platforms), also known as aerial work platforms and basket lifts, are valid for 5 years.
Stationary elevating work platforms (a platform mounted on a vehicle, used for mounting advertisements, billboards, etc.) are valid for 10 years.
