Printing Resolution PPI & DPI: Part 1 - Difference Between Upsample & Upscale
In this next video on Printing Basics I want to clear up a huge misunderstanding about what is really meant by up sampling and down sampling resolution and the often feared process of upscaling - sometimes called 'up-sizing' or "up-rezing" - because the two processes are totally different. *Expand description*
When I export the Gos jpgs in Lightroom, the 30ppi, 3ppi and 1 ppi images are being DOWN SAMPLED. The 3000 ppi jpeg is UP SAMPLING.
Get used to these processes - especially the re-sampling, because you will see a DIFFERENT type of up sampling in the next video together with a more elegant solution to "photoshop inches"!
