el matador PC Fix unsupported gpu (windows 10)
Make sure you have OPENAL installed, and Direct X 9.0c June 2010 installed.
1. Go here and download the latest version of DG Voodoo 2.53
Ignore D3Dcompiler. You need to download :
Dynamic resolutions, GeForce4-style shadow buffering and lot of bugfixings:
dgVoodoo v2.53 (released: 11.09.2016)
2.Open the archive.
Extract the DG Voodoo Setup to a Location you can find it! (You will need to start it every time you wish to play El Matador and leave it running, which is a small price to pay for a classic Max Payne clone.)
3.Open the folder in the archive that says MS. Extract all of these files to your El Matador game folder.
The files from dgVoodoo2_53\MS must be in the SAME FOLDER AS PC_MATADOR.EXE

4.Launch DG VOODOO. There are 3 tabs in the application.
PAY ATTENTION TO THIS OR IT WILL NOT WORK.
Click the Direct X tab. Where it says VIDEO CARD, click that and select the GeForce 4 ti 4800. Next to that it should show VRAM 64MB. If you have a decent enough computer, try to set this as high as possible.
5.Make sure Resolution is set to UNFORCED both boxes in behavior are checked.
[x]Application Controlled Fullscreen/Windowed State
[x]Disable Alt-Enter to toggle Screen State (unless you know what you're doing)
6.Disable DG Voodoo Watermark(If its working, you'll know because you can start the game. So this is useless.)
7.Click Apply (Leave running)
8.Start El Matador from STEAM.
9.Set your options in the Configurator and Launch the game. - If you do not receive the message unsupported GPU, you did this correctly.
10.DO NOT START NEW GAME YET. Hit CTRL ALT DEL
You need to set the game to use all processors if you are a multicore.
If you are in Windows 10, bring up task manager, look near services for the tab that says DETAILS.
Find PC_MATADOR.EXE and right click it, set Affinity, ALL PROCESSORS.
Alt tab back into the game and enjoy the game at the full FPS you deserve. Set your gfx options from ingame, including anistropic filtering or Decals.
