The creation of 3d gcode files is one of the most complex operations especially for those who have no experience in using cad software or solid modelers. This however does not mean that you cannot make a 3d gcode in simpler ways. What I'm going to show here is a first example on how to operate to create the gcode in 3d using only raster images manipulated with gimp and with dmap2gcode. The first open source software and the second freely usable. So operations that can be carried out at no cost. I remember that dmap2gcode creates a roughing and finishing process with a few steps and few settings, therefore also simple to use.
