KVPY which stands for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana, which literally translates to “Young scientist incentive plan” is basically a scholarship program given by the Department of Science and Technology under the Govt. Of India.
The program offers scholarship for students upto pre - Ph.D. level. The program was first launched in 1999. KVPY conducts an exam for students who are interested in their scholarship programs. Students who qualify in the KVPY Exams are eligible for a fellowship as well as admission into institutes like IISc (Indian institute of science) and the IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research).
For JEE aspirants, the KVPY exam is a good opportunity to test their concepts, understanding and application of logic. These are the main aspects which a candidate needs to work on while preparing forJEE Main and JEE ADVANCED. NEET aspirants can test their PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) concepts through the KVPY exam.
