Instant Distantplay, Kaspar König Mainz Performance
In the Exhibition of Susanne Ritter`s portraits "Neue Bildnisse" in the Neuköllner Stadtgallery I was asked to make an installation that could accompany my Portrait, she made a few years ago. The distance to look at a Portrait is peculiar. You change distance and you see something else within. The same way the instant distantplay works. As soon as you change the distance to the piano you change the sounds. Small changes sometimes trigger and sometimes not. In any case it kept on enjoying me, not seeing what is being played and still noticing you are playing it by walking in front. Inside the piano I build a miniature cablecar, a plugger and a 3-foot. See it till 4th of may in the Körnerpark in Berlin or come to the finissage concert that day.
