The first section of this track is in 7/4. The main riff has a lot of passing tones in it and the scale choices are many, including the F# Chromatic (every single note between F# and the octave above or below) the F# Natural minor scale (F#.G#.A.B.C#.D.E) and F# Blues scale (F#,A,B,C,C#,E). The second section of this track is in the key of B natural minor (B,C,D,E,F,G,A). Odd time signatures have now become a standard part of rock playing and it is important to feel comfortable with these riffs rhythmically as well as harmonically.
