Windows 8.1: Add a Network Printer Manually
If you can't access the printer you want to print to over a network, you can add it manually from the Devices and Printers window. If it isn't located automatically, you'll have to type the path to the computer in the search window - something like \\gateway\canon ip2700 printer.
