xampp apache server not starting on windows operating sysytem .This error is due to Port 80 which is used by Apache by default has been used by other applications such as Skype.

Follow the Steps mentioned below to solve " Xampp Apache not working"
1) Open the Control Panel
2) Go to Administrative Tools
3) Goto Services
4) Scroll down and find “World Wide Web Publishing Service”
5)Right click and select “Stop”
6)Once the service has been stopped ,once again right click on “World Wide Web Publishing Service” and select “Properties”, then change “Startup type” to “Manual”
7)Click Apply and press ok
That's it
The above method works perfectly on Windows Xp , Windows 7 , windows 8 ,and windows 10.
