Microsoft Lists is a new product which combines the classic SharePoint lists with a modern user interface which seems to be inspired by table-based project management products such as Air Table and SmartSheet. I will go through what does Lists have over and above Excel (like alerts, notification support, form customisation, a gallery view), when Excel sometimes fails and how is the look and feel of the product. I will also compare it to Google Sheets which has some surprising benefits over both features.
