SAS Tips & Tricks 1 - Using Data from a Lookup Table
Adding data from a lookup table to the base data of your analysis subjects is a very frequent task in data preparation: external data need to be added to the customer base, a list of customers who responded to a test campaign need to be merged to the table of loyalty card members, or product base data need to be combined with the weekly sales data.
There are different methods in SAS to accomplish the task of merging two tables. This webinar introduced 4 methods (SQL, Datastep, SAS Format, SAS Hash) and discusses their performance.
