Yeah, everyone knows the Hashira in Demon Slayer are just ridiculously powerful, right? They are the best. But what I always think about, and what people don't really talk about enough, is the sheer amount of awful stuff they had to go through just to get that strong.
So, this video here, I went and looked into all nine of them, the full background story for every single Hashira. I wanted to really figure out what their lives were like before they even became demon slayers. Every single one of them lost something huge, something really important, whether it was their whole family, or just that feeling of being safe, you know, the hope they had. That pain, that is what keeps them going, that's their fuel.
We talk about Giyu and all that survivor guilt he carries around, and Sanemi's just constant rage, and how Rengoku felt like he had to take on everything for his name. This video connects all that old hurt to who they are now in the main story. If you like character stuff, the deeper emotional parts of anime, I think you'll actually dig this one.
