Check out my LinkedIn group: "Please Introduce me to ..." at:
/ about
And bring your friends with you!
Summary:
You can use this group to help you solve problems -- by connecting with LinkedIn members who just might have the best solution. This group can also help you to increase your LinkedIn network.
How Does It Work?
First, if you need to solve a specific problem, you simply start a discussion. In the discussion, you ask the other group members to help you find LinkedIn members who might have the solution.
ONE GROUND RULE
The ground rule is that each discussion MUST start with the phrase:
"Please introduce me to ..."
Sample Discussion Questions
You can ask questions on ANY topic. For example:
• Please introduce me to a good and inexpensive lawyer.
• Please introduce me to a mechanical engineer with 5-years experience.
• Please introduce me to someone who hires QA testers.
• Please introduce me to someone who can teach me Flash.
• Please introduce me to someone who really understands LinkedIn.
• And so on ...
How to Comment
You can comment in one of three ways:
• First, if you believe YOU can solve the person's problem, tell them. Say: "I can solve your problem". Then, back up your claim with the reasons why you're qualified.
• If you think someone else in the group can solve the problem, give that person's name. Here, give the reasons why you think this person is qualified.
• If the person you recommend is INSIDE your network, but OUTSIDE the other person's network -- no problem! You can INTRODUCE them to each other using LinkedIn's "Get introduced" feature.
NOTE:
Other group members can also back up your referral.
REMEMBER:
Only discussions starting with the phrase:
"Please introduce me to ..."
can participate.
This group can help you -- but only if you put in the effort. To quote from the movie Jerry Maguire: "Help me to help YOU".
