How to Backup Your SysNAND on a Modded Nintendo Switch
In this video, I’ll show you how to create a full backup of your system NAND on a modded Nintendo Switch using Hekate.
This is arguably the most important step when setting up a modded Switch. A NAND backup allows you to restore your system if something ever goes wrong.
By following this guide, you’ll safely back up:
BOOT0 & BOOT1
eMMC RAW GPP
Your full system state
These files can later be used to restore your console back to this exact point in time.

Important Notes
⚠️ A full NAND backup is extremely important before experimenting with mods or system changes.
⚠️ Backup files are very large.
Standard Switch: around 30GB
Switch OLED: around 60GB
Make sure you store them somewhere safe such as:
Your PC
External hard drive
Cloud storage (optional)
