Nagnath Caves
Nagnath Caves are on the Lonavla Railway Ghat. One has to alight the train at Thakurwadi Cabin. The halt is just for one minute and is not for passengers but a technical halt. But one can request the guard of railway to halt a little bit more. Thakurwadi is a small village situated on Lonavla Railway ghat and has 7-8 houses. One may get a guide here for Nagnath Caves. Nagnath Caves are 45 minutes trekking from Thakurwadi village. One has to walk besides active railway track for some time but it’s completely safe if you are alert. When returning back one has to go to Kondane village in the valley below since at Thakurwadi boarding any train is not allowed. From Kondane one can proceed to Karjat railway station by Tuk Tuk which is about 45 minutes drive.
