Hey there! It's Elementor time, header/footer is the easiest way to set up your footer with no plugins except Elementor Pro. Let's do it!
Okay, so I assume you've already downloaded and installed Elementor pro. It's pretty cheap, and it's awesome, so you should grab it. I am also assuming you have watched my video on how to set up Elementor with No Theme, maximizing performance, speed, and flexibility. Link in the description below.
Next, let's go into the theme builder section and click on the header.
Next, memorize and understand these templates and their structures.
There are so many footers that you can change into your own and the templates that are already pre-loaded give you an amazing depth to work with in case you want to customize it.
Install the footer you want. We will choose this one.
Then match it to your branding and the information you want in it.
Now a good practice before doing any of this is making sure you have everything set up properly, and just so you know I have my
Perfect Web Design Workflow Kit
Where I dive into exactly how to set up your website from a branding/copywriting/messaging/design and development point. There's a free version and a paid kit with more tools/templates/scripts for you to use. Check out the free version to see how powerful it is to set your site up the best way.
Now assuming you already have your workflow down and you already know what you want in each section, start to fill out the footer.
Okay, then we go ahead and publish. Set the permissions in the theme builder. And the footer is done. Let's check it. Perfect.
Now repeat the process for the header.
First, the theme builder, then templates, then installing and customizing.
For some neat tricks like transparency, stickiness, and a breakdown of how to truly customize the header, check out my header customizer video for Elementor in the description below.
For now, I'll show you some basics, how to change the text and link the menu items.
