This large intermontane basin, about 20 km wide, is located at an altitude of 1500-1600 m above sea level. The flat, desert-like terrain on both sides abuts against the mountain ranges - Severo-Chuisky and Kuraisky. The panorama of the snow-capped peaks of the Severo-Chuisky ridge is really impressive.
