A 1500 ruble tint job ended up costing a full car paint job.
I went to a car tinting shop to find out how much it would cost to tint the rear windows on my old Lada 9. It's a regular white car, and the goal is simple: make the rear windows darker and drive away.
The technician came out and immediately quoted a price: 5,000 rubles for the rear windows. I told him I'd called ahead and they said they could do it cheaper. The technician looked at the car, thought about it, and offered a price of 1,500 rubles. So, I figured: if it's cheaper, why not? I agreed and left the car.
A short while later, I returned and saw something strange: the windows seemed dark, but there were streaks on the doors. I got closer and realized it looked more like paint than film tinting. I asked the technician, "Did you tint it with paint?" He calmly replied, "But you needed it cheaper."
I point to the drips and ask what to do with them now. The technician says, "Come back in an hour." I return an hour later and see that my white Lada is almost black. The technician is standing there with a spray can, finishing off the white fender.
