Hey folks! Today Max tell story abiut how he saved a girl from three thugs.
"I'm not a hero or a savior. I am just a normal guy. I’m 16. Nothing so special about me. My grades are average, I don't like school and I don’t understand it. The only thing I really like is athletics. I am a true champion in running, and I go from grade to grade just because of my achievements in sports. I'm pretty much like school elite.
But my classmates and I often hear safety lectures at school and at home, just in case. Now it's kind of mandatory – security and all that. They also teach us it’s important to help those who are younger. So in theory, I know what to do if I'm attacked by a maniac. But I haven't really tried to do that.
If this hadn't happened, I probably would not have needed these skills – because I'm really good at running. So once I was walking from my workout and I saw some strange guys dragging a girl of 16-17 years somewhere. The girl was not even crying anymore. She seemed numb from fear.
I decided to come up and ask if they needed help. You never know, they may have lost themselves in our stone jungle. The guys looked at me in a nervous way and continued dragging the girl, but she…
She looked at me with her huge blue eyes that were full of tears. Just like in soap operas my mum watched. I got alarmed. Something was really wrong with her. So I repeated my question. One of the guys muttered angrily that everything was fine. I replied I was not actually talking to him.
The girl screamed and began to babble that she didn't know any of them, crying hysterically. I got nervous, the guys did too. The same one that had answered me, told me not to listen to her, that it was his sister playing pranks on me. Then he slapped her. I believed him and went on. Maybe he just didn't let her have fun with her friends, and it made her cry.
But something didn't feel right. My conscience made me go back.
I barely found them. They were entering an apartment-block, and I slipped after them. And I knew for sure that none of them lived there. My schoolmate lived there, I knew all of his neighbors. They were dragging her to the elevator. I did not like that. But I decided to follow them.
I went up to the stairs and waited. I saw where the elevator was going up – the 9th floor. Then there was only the technical floor and the attic. I was anticipating something terrible. Meanwhile, the guys came out of the elevator and dragged her straight to the technical room.
Well, I went out to meet them, ready to spray them. I asked them politely to let the young lady go. One of them attacked me and was hit by my pepper spray. I should have used it the right way, but there wan't much room there, so I hit him. He didn't seem to be affected by it much. But he let the girl go. She rushed down the stairs the next second. Good for her.
I ran after her. Grabbed her by her jacket and rushed directly to to my friend's apartment, to ask him to let us in. Luckily, my friend was home, and so were his parents. They let us in quickly. Then we called the police and the ambulance for the victim. Her parents wouldn't stop thanking me.
It turned out, she was just going back home from school. She saw those guys for the first time, not far from her home. The started by just catcalling her and then hit her on the back of her head and threw her in their car. They took her almost to the other side of the city, because one of the guys's aunt lived there and they had the keys. By the way, I knew that woman, she seemed quite normal. For some reason, all the passers-by ignored the girl when she was crying for help".
