You'll find words with their definition, also words with its synonym. Knowing synonyms is very useful to speak English with more fluency.
We recommend that you listen and repeat the whole list of vocabulary to improve your pronunciation.

Hello again! as usual, I'm going to say a word or phrase, followed by its definition or a synonym. Please repeat out loud, because you will learn much more quickly.
fees = money regularly paid (esp. to a school) for continuing services
inflated = excessively or unreasonably high
tuition = teaching or instruction
to suspect = to have a feeling, to reckon
life sentence = a long prison term
a bid = a tender, an offer to do work at a stated price
a ballot = a process of voting, and the total number of votes cast in such a process
a victor = a winner
a spectacle = a display, a show
to beat = to defeat
a title = a championship, a first place
a crowd = the mass, group of people
a match = a contest, a competition, a sports game
a competitor = a contestant, a contender, a challenger, a participant
speechless= lost for words, at a loss (for word), dumbfounded
an enthusiast = a fan, a devotee, a follower, an expert
a statement = a declaration, an expression of views
to release a statement = to issue a statement, a communiqué
delighted = pleased, glad, overjoyed
the bookies (the bookmakers) = a person who takes bets, calculates odds and pays out winnings
to be on the edge of one’s seat = to be very excited and giving one's full attention to something
in line = in a row waiting to proceed
in line to the throne = an heir to the throne (ceremonial chair for a sovereign power)
