Can you beat Dark Souls 2 with 9 ADP?
After someone told me, “10ADP is all you need, if you’re dogshit,” I decided to lock my Adaptability at 9 for the entire game and find out.
In Dark Souls II, ADP (Adaptability) directly affects your invincibility frames, roll speed, and item use. Lowering it makes dodging tighter and punishes panic rolling hard. What started as a troll challenge run quickly turned into one of the most humbling Dark Souls 2 playthroughs I’ve ever done.
Iron Keep exposed my bad habits.
Shaded Woods and The Rotten felt cleaner than ever.
Shrine of Amana forced patience (yes, I used a bow).
Throne Watcher and Defender took seven attempts.
Nashandra didn’t beat me… but gravity almost did.
This 9 ADP run proved something important: Dark Souls 2 isn’t clunky — it just doesn’t forgive sloppy play.
