Abstract Art Intuitive Painting (Adding Gesso to Multiple Canvases for Texture)
Getting started on some larger 24"x30" canvases for more Color Song paintings means adding the gesso in a little different way than I did for the smaller paintings. As you see in this short video, I use a larger scraper to add the gesso and also to make some marks in the wet gesso so it will have some linear texture when it dries. I do add marks in different directions as you will notice. It really is cool when you scrape paint across the textured surface, which is what I will be doing in the next painting video.
