Medisoft Error - Cannot Connect To The Medisoft Data Directory (Data Path (Datapath) Reset)

In this video we show you what to do when Medisoft gives you an error that says "Find Medisoft Database", or "Cannot Connect To The Medisoft Data Directory" (in other words, you need to reset the data path). When you get an error that says either of those things, it means that source of where the information was being saved has been changed or modify, and now the computer needs you to relocate it. We will show you how to relocate it in this video.

Today we’re gonna be taking a look to a Medisoft issue where the software is asking you to find the database. When you double-click on the Medisoft icon it may pull this up. This simply means the source of where the information being saved had been changed or modified and now the computer needs you to relocate it. Simply go down to the bottom or an older computer you can go to my computer it will pull the view of the desktop; please select C from the left hand column if you’re in smaller office. However, if you’re in a larger office you may have to locate which ever computer inside the office is being use as a server because where addressing a smaller-office type situation where going to be in a C drive. Locate the Medidata folder, double-click once inside the Medidata folder we’ll notice this string of words we have this PC, Local disk C and Medidata. This is essentially telling us that we’re in this computer located in the C drive in/or the folder known as Medidata. What we’re gonna do is click outside this box right here and it’s gonna give us an address. This is a shortened version of what we are just looking at. We’re gonna copy this address here and paste it directly into the directory address. By clicking ok we’ll or relink this data and it should allow the application to open normally.
