The Google Nest Hello doorbell uses the Nest app and products such as protect, thermostat, alarm, etc.

Subscribing to their plan includes much better features. The sugar gliders never subscribed to the paid plans but was able to use the added functionality with their free trial upon first install. As someone who did not want to pay a subscription fee, the doorbell was still useable but most of the time when there were motion or person alerts, the picture given would not mean anything. For example, someone dropping flyers at the door would show a picture of someone walking away from the porch and leave many more questions than provide answers.

A wedge is included to angle the doorbell away from the wall. Some houses are positioned in such a way that if the wedge was not included, over half of the view would be obstructed by a wall. The wedge brings the doorbell away from the wall and allows more visibility to the things that matter most to you.

The one thing that really bothered the sugar gliders was the inability to save files to a local device. What happens if you see something priceless like a package theft and want evidence? The Hello doorbell does not enable saving of this footage.
