Eclipse Portal Waterfall Oil Painting Tutorial - Wet on Wet
Today we painted on 18x24" Black Canvas (that I painted black with Liquitex Black Gesso) using Thick Oil Paints with Liquid Clear. Colors will be listed below. I look forward to seeing your painting! Send in pics via Facebook Messenger to / paintwithjosh
Colors : Prussian Blue, Midnight Black, & Titanium White
Tools : 1" & 2" Brushes, 2 Fan Brushes (Size : Whatever works best for you), Palette Knife, Script Liner Brush & either a Paper Plate, Cake Pan, Plastic Cup or anything else round that you don't mind getting a little dirty. I used a 5 Gallon bucket and an old TV box or piece of thick cardboard. I turned the bucket upside down, traced the lid, and cut it out with a box cutter. Then I attached a handle to it for easy holding and I was ready to go
Canvas Prep : I took a 18x24" Canvas from Michael's and covered it in Liquitex Black Gesso and let it dry completely. Only takes 10-15 mins. When it came time to paint this scene, I applied Bob Ross Liquid Clear to the entire canvas and then wiped the excess off with paper towel. I show you everything else on screen
